Leah enjoys mark making on a daily basis and has recently showed interest in the colours of mark making tools. She uses felt pens and likes to draw everywhere so I always buy washable ones! When talking about colours and identifying them, I always connect it to something familiar, for example, pink, like her top or red like Peppa pigs dress. This is important and will help children make connections from an early age. We also connected colours to the sticklebricks so when she made her glasses we discussed the colours she had used and how many pieces there were altogether.
